a song released 4 months ago, a bside from his album has gone viral on social media.
it started with tiktok, which soon took over facebook, insta etc. and trending in most music sites in sk
it started charting in 11-12 days ago again (entering top 950) and now has entered melon top 100 main chart, it also charting in genre charts of bugs, genie,vibe etc.
it was his first official album after returning to music scene. and it's without any public promotion.

It's suspended sentence for 4 years.
in simple 4 years probation.
while court monitors that there is no repetition. if he commits again only then proceeding for prison sentence will start and another judgement will be given. if not then after 4 years case will be completely dismissed.

my perspective is tho, in some cases the sentences should've been stricter. but for his case he has already accepted his mistakes that he did when he was 19,it's his country's law afterall, his probation is a bit a long that's all, drug education was good cause he thought it will help him write good songs. i think it's being used as a pawn, falling from highest point of their career,being obstacle for his own brother like members and too much public hate (still continuing) hurt him more. With judgement he is rather free from shackles of past to move forward, so comparing with other judgements will be just staying back in past.
B.I has donated all the profits from his 1st Solo Album "Waterfall" to "basic for girls", continuing his "Monthly Donation Project" that started with "Midnight Blue" project in which he donated all profits to world vision for children.
"B.I will deliver warm hearts to difficult places at home and abroad until after his death through 3rd and 4th music and copyrights profit donation which will be settled later."
fyi copyrights stays for 70 years after death before going to public domain.

IOK Music x 131 label in process of making a new BG and GG, with auditioning trainees from multiple countries like korea,taiwan,indonesia,japan etc.
most probably both will be produced by B.I, B.I is also executive director of IOK music. (btw he is 24 years old)
recent developments suggests that the BG may debut late 2021 or early 2022, while GG maybe late 2022 or early 2023.
if it happens I think that will be a nice surprise in the kpop arena.

yeah, this are things I remembered for the former leader of iKON B.I,
iKON together also went through lots of massive ups and downs
most likely teaser of the song "waterfall", and that beat is really awesome
intro film also great at showing the struggles.
it made me think how his life is no less than real life drama. with so many ups and downs.
from trainee to team b loosing, giving his song to winning team to pressure of mix and match and show me the money at same time, not so good performance at smtm at first but then his song became the first song from smtm to top music charts, with his dad scandal of embezzlement with little proof getting him hate just before debut, then ikon becoming top rookie, ikon wining competition in china, but slowly loosing attention with no promotion or music just tours, then a stale comeback, being called flop group. then a hit like love scenario, starting to get recognition again, ikon getting many awards also getting "songwriter of the year", collab with other artist. (in between not just being main writer and composer of iKON and also writing songs for psy, epik high, lee hi, blackpink, winner, eun jiwon etc. many artists getting him recognition),then suddenly the "alleged scandal" making him leave the group and brother like members, also the fall happened at the peak of his career.
back to 0, with just a soundcloud account, then becoming executive director at a company, creating own label, collab with other global artist and again trying to start anew. and many other ups and downs in between.
it's really great to see how he never gives up and comes back stronger and it's really inspiring also.
it will be incredible to watch and hear his comeback.
