Honestly I have never believed on a company actively sabotaging a group... but wow, the way SM has been handling 127 the last 2 years, all while getting the "SM's fav unit" allegations is... interesting. Like even if the more cynical part of me can think this the typical "company treats x group as shit so the fans get more active and emotionally invested on their faves", it's incomepetence has come to a point where it's blocking their potential and success severely, to a point it's killing the hype even the bigger 127zens have. It's so sad to see...
Idk I've never seen a big3 company fumble goodwill so blatantly like this.
And yes I think it is sabotaging 127 even if unintentionally - the incomprehensible mismanaged tour where a lot of promises were made and fans like myself avoided seeing other kpop acts with the thought that we'd wait for 127 only for the supposed "world tour" to never happen... tbh I think there's a reason SM is also not announcing the preorder sales figures and I wouldn't be surprised if fans are quietly unstanning out of frustration.

The album snafu is one thing but the comeback showcase was a complete shit show - venue was too small/it was overcrowded with fans fainting in the audience and having to be pulled out/ mic issues and terrible camera work. At this point SM is either laughably incompetent or they are actively trying to sabotage their groups.
On a side note -comeback showcase should generally be free.. so you made fans pay for this shite.. I can't

Remember the 3 poor Momoland members when their agencies ran their mouths and confirmed the relationships? And then the guys were like nah, they aren’t girlfriends just hook ups.
That situation made the slut shaming so much worse toward them. I felt so bad for them, not only they felt betrayed in their personal lives, everyone was making fun of them.

My thoughts is it was terrible, disjointed. At best -a complete waste of time, at worst - almost killed my initial interest in the comeback.
I'm glad it's over and looking forward to the album drop on the 16th

You are being a little pedantic with OP here. By flopping presumably - any group doing less than their last comeback is not a good look - it implies attrition which no one likes. Music show wins don't matter anyway since that can be affected by who else is coming back at the same time. But selling significantly less albums than prior is not good...

I don't know if this is intentional on SM's part or if they are just not good at their job and getting worse. It's strange to see them squandering their hype and success so badly.... but hey let's keep our fingers crossed that the song is really good. It'd be shame for what may be 127's last comeback as 9 to be just so so. The poor excuse for an "International" tour is bad enough.

Yes. I saw that their 24h ktown4u preorder numbers were less than half of sticker era. The weird confusing roll out (those YouTube reels) have very little views and engagement because it's poorly thought out and managed. They'd be better off just releasing pictures on a schedule than whatever this is supposed to be. Even for people who were super excited for this comeback - SM is killing the hype very quickly.
So yes - all a little concerning. Only saving grace is that the members say the song is great.
