I'd say SNSD because during their peak they were far ahead in nearly all metrics (except digital performance) compared to other girl groups, so much so that they ended up competing with boy groups for physical sales and touring, something that was unheard of in the K-pop industry back then. They were the most recognized musical act in Korea for around three years (2009-2011), becoming the national girl group.
Of course the K-pop landscape is vastly different in later generations, and BLACKPINK and Twice have since eclipsed SNSD in success. But I am interpreting the question as who was the most dominant compared to other groups during their peak.

Like you said it's because it got overshadowed by Lionheart which was released a week earlier. Even worse is the double title track Holiday-All Night and almost no one talks about All Night when referring to the 2017 comeback.
Similarly people talk more about Gee and Oh! than Genie, Run Devil Run and Hoot.
The Boys, IGAB and Mr Mr there was a gap between surrounding releases so people know about or remember them more.
