it's not gonna be the big 4. i'm expecting a small company, but i don't know what companies are out there.

My theory is that 3 groups got lucky, SNSD, SHINee and FX.
I remember clearly that after SM lost to JYJ in 2009 they had to modify these 3 groups contract. SHINee initial contract was 10 years but was cut to 7 in 2009.
It seems that by 2012, SM went back to their old ways bc no one was watching them anymore. So Exo, RV, NCT and Aespa are on the old DBSK style contract.
yeah, that's a possibility. i don't think everyone has the same experience.
i think SM is specifically eager to keep milking Baekhyun's solo fanbase (without paying him properly). while Baekhyun seems to want an snsd situation where another company manages his solo activities while he stays as EXO.

I was surprised when I saw that too and I have always thought that the Teolaegi doll was just another way SM found to milk Baekhyun's popularity (I don't know how much Baekhyun was really involved or even brainchild that idea) but if he really created the doll, I hope he can take it with him.
he did design the doll based on his dog mongryong prior to his military service. he has a vlog on it.

- I heard this insane combination of Byun Baekhyun and Dr. Romantic was back again, so I came and gave it a listen. This combination is no joke.
- This song was played while I was watching Kim Sabu and it sounds good. Baekhyun-nim sings so well.
- I got goosebumps (at the song) while I was watching the drama. As expected of Baekhyun.
- Baekhyun's unique emotion is overflowing and it's fun to listen to it in a vocal way, so I want to give him 100 points.

yeah the lawsuit was scheduled to take place in June 1st if SM fail to provide the reports. EXO's comeback was meant before that, they had already recorded the album in February when Baekhyun was released from the military.
the EXO comeback should have been in late april/early may. they should have had one last OT8 comeback. but SM kept delaying.

CBX filed 7 request starting from March, so it was before Kai enlistment. in fact i think SM messing Kai's enlistment was an excuse to sabotage and delay the comeback more.
the reason CBX spoke now isn't a coincidence, recently the law is siding more with the artists than the companies. many artists are succeeding in leaving the company and continuing their careers. it may have given CBX some hope that this time it will work out fine.
