NGL knowing their debut was Fearless, only for Sakura to be crying before getting on stage is killing me.
I think if kpop fans didn't already know how hard/brutal the industry can be, this documentary might have landed better. But instead you have jaded kpop fans who already know how bad everyone has it, so the sympathy meter is broken.
Like yeah, it sucks you can't sing this far into your career, 2nd group debut. Most people would take this as a sign, to change careers. But homegirl isn't so like ???? What we getting sad about?
idk, Source did them dirty by releasing this. Group gets hate for bad vocal performance, release documentary showing they struggle vocally proving point. Like now it turns from hate, to rightfully being dragged for having a bad day at work.

I don’t wanna trash it too, because i’ll have cake on my face if it charts, but holy shit it confuses me how they could be bumping to this in the studio, and think it’s good
I think it’s a lyric problem, because in another universe, i think the beat could be salvaged into something good.
Please Korea, prove me wrong……

100% agree. I don’t think many groups are consistently delivering above average music like this. They take time to make sure everything they release if palatable and interesting. Something i don’t think other groups doing the mini album format do.
Not to mention, Woke Up being a song that i don’t think 90% of kpop groups (male or female) could pull off. Especially in english. Absolutely crazy.

Bop for the fact that i think their rap line changed their flow from their usual rapid fire pace, which i think is really nice.
Plus their chorus was more toned down from the usual.
I think overall it’s a nice variety song and showcases some versatility.

In terms of producing? Yes ig.
It terms of impact? YG is still making their idols rap in a similar style and you can hear GD influences in Bobby and that Treasure short rapper they dress in dumb clothes.
I don’t think Soyeon is an above average rapper tho. To me, her flow is boring and she doesn’t have the voice for it.

"her gaining weight has been so sad" the audacity is insane. go touch grass
In terms of her image as an idol? Yeah, i stand by that statement.
-
No hate, but Jeongyeon being my bias, if i even have one in twice, and her gaining weight has been so sad. If shes happy, w/e. but she just looks like a completely different person.

We’re truly living in a world where kiss of life, a nugu company group, charts better than yg’s next gg after bp
How times have changed
insane if true

I just thought it was a reference to her global status.
and hai rhymes with life

For what it is, its a bop.
But let's talk about what it is. Essentially a 2:13 min song (if you take out last instrumental part), that has a catchy chorus, but very little else? Like its not bad, its just not great? Especially for a Single, it gives more album intro or b-side.
If its more of a statement piece, like an album intro would be, then 1000% this does the job. If this was an honest attempt to release mass appeal music that above average and worthy of praise? i think its a miss. -
I meant her horrible debut dancing. Compared to Shotaro who is an excellent dancer, but can't sing.
-
I think this is a song problem more than vocal talent lol. Their specially failing at is the higher part in each verse. Goes from deep tone to high tone and they seem to sing awkwardly for the high tone.
But Shotaro, homie, he's giving Giselle vibes which suck, because he was already promoting before Riize. He was also social media casted as a dancer, but that's really no excuse.
Besides that, they just don't look like they are having fun. Maybe after a few more years, they will not care so much and be better performers -
My question is, how could they have been lied to so much? Maybe its age, because when i was younger, i was gullible. And couldn't imagine what i'd believe when were talking huge sums of money and fame.
But from the beginning, everyone saw they have zero case and it was just pure manipulation and ignorance thinking otherwise.
Idols have committed suicide with way more going for them in this industry and i feel sorry they will have to live with the idea they made the wrong choice. I think they were Tik Tok one hit wondering anyways, so i don't think they will lose out on too much. But all the emotional and life stress, for a group that probably wasn't gonna make it anyways is crazy.

I think the group just had a lot of casual fans because they were trendy etc.
I think like many people who criticize & drag them, we can enjoy and listen to their music, while still dragging them for lack of talent.
I liked Aespa during debut (and currently) and i still dragged giselle for being such a weak dancer compared to everyone else.
Maybe the age of sticking your head in the sand and acting like groups you like can do no wrong is over.

lol as SM tells them, i’ll see you in court. It’d be the smartest strategy ever, if the boys end up making less, having to pay out INB staff plus SM royalties.
I’m not sure why any person, would think a verbal agreement has more weight than a signed contract. If it was only gonna be 5.5%, then the contract should say 5.5% (not 10%), regardless of what you are told. Especially when SM says 10% is their standard.
tbh at this rate, the boys should have just walked away from EXO entirely, if they didn’t wanna pay SM.
