Out of all the active ggs in kpop, whose the most respected in Korea?

Respect in achievements I would say Blackpink, however if you thought of a quintessentially kpop gg they would say Twice.

Album sales has nothing to do with popularity, it's fanbase related as in when you have high album sales then this indicates you have a large, active fanbase. People keep mixing up the stats and what they mean.

Mamamoo and Red Velvet are some of the groups that are respected for their vocals in South Korea, but I'm not sure how it is now. Mamamoo are even less talked about these days than SNSD or 4th gen groups, and RV like was already mentioned in this site fluctuated between up and down a lot.

TWICE had a few years that they were the most known and loved girl group in South Korea, but those days are many years back now and looks like South Korea moved on, to Blackpink and other 3rd gen groups and newer, 4th gen groups.

I'd say that BP are currently the most respected girl group in SK, but not on the same level as SNSD and TWICE were respected at their peaks or as BTS are respected.

I mean a non active SNSD still manages to regularly be checked out as much as groups that actively have CBs. Members are relevant and popular, their dramas/movies are well received and have high ratings, they're regularly on TV and of course are still the role models for new ggs. Tiffany and Yuri even built their own groups.

Not many others ggs are popular even in their prime yet SNSD are doing that shit 5 years of doing nothing as a group.

Koreans respect high achievements and western validation (no hate). Only BP has that.
