Since the very moment they were motivated for the Grammys, they were very focused on creating songs that could appeal to masses in the west (or if we're being honest, it's the Grammys). I don't mind the songs being in English neither them being generic (infact I enjoyed them). But I do believe this did hinder their artistic creativity, and the fact they weren't that involved in the writing of their English tracks proves it.
Back when BTS didn't win their Grammy for Dynamite, they still had a slight hope and said they would try harder. But this time they didn't say all that. Even though they weren't that hopeful of winning, they showed more disappointment this time. During the concert, RM didn't mention once about trying harder for the Grammys, but instead said he was grateful he could just perform there for the ARMYs.
Also they did hint at trying to become a self-produced group, so that's a better goal ig. I would rather see BTS having more involvement in the production and exploring their artistic creativity than them achieving a Grammy, as a fan.
