Need to see if the song's gonna be good first and if the public gonna eat it up.

basically impossible to tell before they even debut.
-
with the hype, it is definitely possible for them to do better than eleven if it is a gp-friendly song.

I am sure if the song is good, they will gain fans and do well. Hopefully the music is on par with the visuals.

I think they will do good because the song's choreography was praised by critics and it's not weird noise music.

can we stop setting them up before they even debut, Eleven was a big hit, those aren't guaranteed even for top groups. Even aespa with so much hype only slowly moved into the top 100 with Black Mamba and it took a while to get even decent charting, it was never a hit (that was Next Level). If their song is GP friendly they can hopefully get top 50.

How is it guaranteed?
Not guaranteed but possible.
When Aespa debut, there weren't a lot of hype for 4th GGs and idols' music in general so it was harder for Aespa to get into the chart. But melon chart has been reformed again since then. That's why Eleven got in easier. I bet if Aespa debut now, Black Mamba would rank higher. Even bad songs like O.O and Wadada managed to get in top 100 with much less hype than Le sserafim.
So I predict the worst result would be around 50+ and it can get higher depends on the song.

How is it guaranteed?
It is much more easier to chart now compare to when black memba released.
right now it is 50% real-time + 50% uls. It is much more easy for a big fandom to chart into at least top100 of the Melon compare to when Black Memba released.
With the hype going around with them having ex-izone members + being first hybe new ggs, It definitely not going to be any worst that top50 in the chart . Also, with the strong promotion that hybe put on this group, top 30 is definitely going to be a guaranteed.
However, like I said whether they can break into top 10 and break ELEVEN record then it definitely depends on how public react to the song. Also, ELEVEN doesn't have a strong digital number in Gaon. They never go higher than 20M digital weekly, but they have a stable digital number with around 19M for a few weeks.

I dont think so. Folks are underestimating Wonyoung's star power in Korea. She is the IT GIRL of 4th gen right now.
I think Lesserifrm has the potential to have a bigger fandom overall, they might get 500k on Gaon with their debut while Eleven is stuck at 362k last i checked. Love Dive will hit 500k on Gaon but who knows how much more Lesserifmr's second album will do, if Fearless get 500k their second album might get 650k.
