be as successful as balckpinks coachella performance (loved by kpop stans and non-kpop stans and help them establish their identity in the Western market), 2ne1's coachella performance (didnt make any western impact but loved by kpop stans (blackjacks and nonblackjacks)), or Jackson's coachella performance (not as well known, liked mainly by his fandom but got some casual kpop stans interested but kinda overshadowed; some praise for performance and some criticism for lipsyncing)?

It was the iconic performance that really marked their name in the western market. Before that the only ppl who knew blackpink were kpop stans. there's a difference between being popular with international kpop stans and being popular internationally and this is the performance that took blackpink from the first one to the latter.

Ive streams are mostly from Japan, indonese and the Philippines. noticed how they did not chart on us billboard 200, but aespa charted for 2 weeks. Also, aespa charted without a U.S distribution unlike ITZY. For example, aespa albums are not in target store and does not sell directly from U.S Amazon.

No @@@142b4a47-bada-40d2-a7cf-d982ea346455@@@ have 0 fame in the US and almost no fandom.
BP might not have been famous in the US, but their name was still sort of known by a lot of music fans and they were also advertised to be attending months earlier so had their own fans in the crowd.
Blinks had the opportunity to buy tickets and hype the crowd.
Aespa have no success at all in the US, only Kpop fans know them. Seriously. They were also a surprise addition when the show has been long sold out. They will have NO ONE in the audience.
So it's going to be a nobody group on the biggest stage, most likely giving their usual stiff and li synced performance in front of a crowd that most likely doesn't want them there.
It'll be worse than Mary's.

please let's not forget that Aespa doesn't have any performance experience outisde of prerecorded multiple-take music shows. this is literally going to be the first real performance in a big scale stage in front of a live audience. some of you are doing the most and putting too much pressure on this group that's basically still a rookie.

Whatever happens, consistency matters.
BP did really well but then pretty much disappeared. Hylt was big more internationally, not in the US.
And LSG did nothing. They are not that big there that they can have long hiatuses and then expect to be the biggest. And it's weird for their fans to think that no other kpop gg can do things in the US.
