I wish they would go more into power efficiency instead of making power hungry things in times when it costs a lot to pay for electricity

its a paradox

budget cards like 60 and 70 are power efficient enough

to max out the full potential of an architecture, you need to be inefficient with power

those cards are not the most sought after

they're only sought after by those who NEED it

like big studios and science labs

half the render times on complex 3d scenes and simulations are worth a ton of money for them

as well as people gaming on 4K max settings

when I get a full paid job, I'll probably get a big screen for comfort on the eyes and go for a top-end card for gaming + rendering ( even though I think small screens are good enough for gaming, bigger is always better for creative workflows )

now there are some filthy rich people who buy stuff cause why not
