if wonyoung is really that big, why hasnt she topped brand rankings

before i begin i love wonyoung and this isnt a dig at her, but a genuine question

i know koreans love wonyoung. i see her doing all these collabs with companies (miu miu, kirsh, etc) and she's also pretty popular bc she's mc with sunghoon so shes always trending for something or the other (usually random hate scandals from her antis).

however she hasnt topped brand ranking? im kinda confused.

Honestly the brand rankings aren’t that serious, we know she’s big because literally everything she wears and uses is sponsored by big brands. Have u seen her install posts lol. Also I’ve just debuted let the group solidify their standing and I garuntee wonyoung will serve it girl.

brand rankings are data that we have no idea how the people behind it get their "research" from. It's fine to look at it for fun, but it's really not a metric that should be taken seriously.

lol thats what i was thinking. i see partnering with all these companies and wearing branded clothes 24/7, shes alwways being talked about (in and outside her fandom) yet shes not even top 10 in brand rankings?

Bc br uses ive wonyoung but wonyoung is usually said as jang wonyoung

Even then br is very unreliable, if someone like Jennie keeps on topping then it says something but one can go from 9 to 90 in just a months

Because she's popular, but not as popular to the GP as the hype says. The main demographic of her fans are younger teens, and she's not always "bagging CF brand deals" as her fans like to claim.

Interesting how you only see the title but not the amount of cfs and sponsorships. She is huge among the young crowd no matter how much some want to deny it because their big3 faves can't keep up

brand ranking should not be taken seriously, fandoms figured out from the start how to manipulate it. Whoever spams a name the most wins basically.

We've been saying from the very beginning that brand ranking isn't reliable and it's like people refuse to listen.

The person behind the brank ranking doesn't show any proof of how his data is gathered and has even threatened specific fandoms to drop their idol's ranks on the list before for annoying them. Literally, how is there anything professional about a person like that? Also, you can top brand ranking by just doing spam. A top boy group fans were literally called out for spamming in order to boost their faves rank not that long

As for Wonyoung's case, Starship has her registered under the incorrect name or something like that, so it doesn't matter how much she trends or is searched, it will never be correctly reflected on brand ranking. Wonyoung fans on Twitter have been spamming Starship to change her name to improve the brand ranking.

But, of course Starship doesn't give af about something as meaningless as brand ranking for their idols.

If it was so important you guys don't think more companies would be mentioning it? But you will never find any big companies mentioning brank ranking or putting out any articles boasting about brank ranking.

Even the most nugu of nugu companies don't mention brand ranking when their nugu idols gain popularity and suddenly rise on the brank ranking list.
