paks are nothing when no 4th gen cannot need promotions via weekly idol and music shows to chart well
-
this is such a stupid take because a song can a massive hit without a pak. forever young didn't get a pak but is the best charting and most successful bside for a girl group, maybe even for groups as a whole. lovesick girls also didn't get a pak but it's longevity was insane which speaks lot about gp's preferences
honestly if i could choose, i'd prefer their song to have good longevity rather than get a pak and then free-fall in less than a month

Yeah, they will have lost their "untouchable" status if they don't chart well.
Doubt it will happen though.

BP can literally tank with their whole album on k-charts and will still mop the floor with everyone on yt, apple music, spotify, etc. Irrelevant to them at this point

Charting isn't their only strength.
Blackpink are still the #1 group on Gallup.
They still have the best digitals internationally.
They still have the highest album sales.
They still have the highest global recognition as shown with youtube, social media etc.
All these things together show how successful a group really is.
Only when more and more of these fields will see other groups surpass Blackpink in them, then it's time to start talking about which group is the real #1.
Up till then, it's all moot and another group charting better in Korea won't change Blackpink's status.

forever young didn't get a pak but is the best charting and most successful bside for a girl group,
lmao this is a lie, Dolphin is MUCH bigger and more successful than forever young
Anyway PAKs don't matter the way KPOP stans think they do. They're mostly based off of timing & doesn't really represent whether a song is a hit or not. Power Up got a PAK but nobody considers it to be a hit. BP will be fine.
