Why do people think YG is phasing out Bp for their new gg

  • BP stopped being a YG priority after 2016 lol, long before Baemon was ever a thing

I just think music IN GENERAL is not a priority for YG anymore, they were hardly active in 2021 as a whole company. And BP happened to get the short stick in 2022 too because this BB comeback has been teased for years and they need to give Winner a cb before Mino enlists in April. The only thing that would actually blow my mind is if IKON somehow gets a cb before BP bc does YG really hate money that much LMAO

Anyway, I think BP comeback is pretty much confirmed for late May or early June, followed by a massive 2022-2023 world tour. Baemon will likely debut while BP is on said tour. After the tour, BP will either all renew or some will move on (realistically, Lisa and Jisoo have no reason to stay with YG after 2023 - I doubt either will have a career in music once BP is over)

Jisoo can stay back for acting. Yg acting unit is top

  • Yg was supposed to debut a gg right after BP debut. Like winner and ikon. That's why they stopped caring about them.

  • YG have never been a music factory. It's not how they operate. Many of us hoped the new building would inspire more productivity, but it seems not. It is what it is.

But Blackpink are their main group (obviously Bigbang are bigger but they've started leaving.) YG will try to keep them at least until they know whether the NGG can be as successful.

  • the only members i see leaving are lisa and rose.

also, i think ppl just try to come up with reasoning on yg's treatment of blackpink when the real answer is yg just cares about profits and cfs and modeling gigs are more profitable than music
