Easy way to get clout
I am just making a thread because my post that ended up being an essay was too long for a comment
I would call it an earned privilege. Also it’s not in everything like kpop fans like to pretend. It’s a privilege because of the exposure and the money a big company have. Kpop fans act as if big company idols were treated as royalty in the industry while their poor “real” talented favs were the underdogs.
People also got to consider that the more people to compete for a company the tougher it gets: hence why these people you deem as privileged have earned their place. Whether it was hard work or talent, they managed to get in AND debut. Most big company idols debut after long hard training periods so even if you’re gonna go with some have rich backgrounds, this logic doesn’t apply because the rich take as much time training as the poor in these companies. Not to mention small companies have as much rich trainees. In fact rich kids are even more important to small companies because they can support. Many rich kids can go to small companies, get better positions and treatment than in a big one that isn’t afraid to treat them strictly. This privilege talk has gone to the point people treat small company idols as indie artists lol. Obviously I am not saying small company idols are less talented or don’t work hard but if you’re going to blame privilege of a company then try to go to that company and if you couldn’t handle it don’t blame the ones who managed to and call them out for being privileged.
