Bp fans can claim all they want about being the most popular but they’re not right up there with Twice in Japan, they’re very distinctly 2nd. Therefore they can’t be considered the most popular ever.
If you think the gap twice might have in japan is big enough to make up for losing on pretty much every other country then you are deluded.
Japan might be the second biggest market in revenue but that's irrelevant when defining popularity in all of asia. They have like 130m people, indonesia alone has around 100m and bp stomps them in sea countries, add in china, korea, india and it's not even close.
