next level was a huge hit but the international and domestic numbers aren't even close. D4 was literally a cultural reset and the fact kpop stans are saying "my faves are in their D4 era" whenever someone has an extremely successful comeback speaks volumes about the impact the song has.

Why are u comparing a song charting in 2016 to 2021? The melon chart system back then had no where near the longevity that it does today. Both system had their advantages and disadvantage.
