I'm not op but what that user said is true. Enhypen and txt biggest markets are japan, us, europe. Bts are also big in sea and china but they are not the biggest there. Same as enhypen and txt. Sm and yg groups are more popular in china and sea. I think that user meant txt and enhypen are big in the same countries that of bts so it shows their privilege. Enhypen and txt don't follow same kpop route popularity just like bts. That is how bts privilege works.

But OP said Enhypen isn't popular in SEA which isn't true? Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand are among the countries that stream their songs the most.

This is misleading - BTS still the biggest in SEA except for Thailand, and Malaysia (MY with very low margin) and they are the biggest for remaining SEA countries. Do maybe the OP and you also stop undermining BTS brands? it's 2022 now. As for China, yes I agreed they are not the biggest, and they never promote in China, but BTS solo stans are comparatively big over there.
No doubt there is some privileges with TxT and EH, but aren't all kpop group kinda benefit and ride on BTS privileges nowadays?, especially on the international market.

Most k-pop group have sea as their biggest streaming markets. That doesn't prove anything.
Yes the BTS privilege is bigger for TXT and then Enhypen internationally.
People, especially some Txt fans on akp, really underestimate how much exposure TXT had at debut and how valuable it is for groups to get that. Big3 group fans do it in general too here.
Groups from smaller companies work hard for like 10% of the exposure that TXT got at debut.
Exposure is the reason why groups promote so i don't see why people undersell that initial exposure so much. And Txt might be getting hate from some ARMYs currently but that doesn't negate any of the exposure they got.
Really BTS wouldn't be where they are today if they didn't get so much exposure being the first k-pop group to do so many things and performing on big shows. It's sort of a cause and effect thing where their initial demand keeps on feeding their growth.
There's a reason they take every opportunity they can to perform however small it may be and run with it. It's because they realise the value of exposure having to work for it so much in the past.

don't know if i misunderstood op, but people often forget that bts being "not popular" somewhere, is still more popular than any other kpop group (except for malaysia & thailand and china where they are pretty much #2). Bts' complete domination in Japan & the US often overshadows their popularity in other countries

The only places BTS are not no1 are thailand, Malaysia and china. So saying they're not the biggest in the entire sea is a lie
