What is your opinion on moodboards?

Don't really know a lot about them so can't give an opinion.

I find them hard to make and have everything work well with each other, but when done right, they look stunning, and I love how creative some of them are. Have a great day/night!

As an illustrator/animator, it can be good to help get a better visual idea of what you want your work to look like.

i've never needed them for myself. i can pretty much develop my ideas in my brain without needing an actual visual summary of everything. i definitely have folders of reference images, but i've never felt the need to take the time to make a collage out of them.

they are important for communicating ideas for projects involving other people though.

in terms of using other people's moodboards as inspiration, i don't really seek them out, i guess.
