Who has been the bigger hit make in Korea, Twice or Blackpink?

    In term of quantity Blackpink obviously had more hits and never had a flop

    but in term of biggest hit, twice by far, I think none of the Blackpink songs had the impact Cheer up or TT had

    2016 any twice song was bigger than blackpink song

    2017 as if it's your last was bigger than any twice song

    2018 ddu-du was bigger than any twice song

    2019 fancy was bigger than kill this love

    2020 how you like that and lovesick girls were so much bigger than any twice song that you can't even compare

    They were the closest to reaching SNSD's level of impact

    I just looked, Twice have 152 recorded songs to Blackpink's 58. With a year in age between them.


    According to google, Blackpink have had 10 title tracks (though my brain is only coming up with 9 - Whistle, Boombayah, Stay, PWF, AIIYL, DDDD, KTL, HYLT, LSG, I can't think of a tenth?) with 2 promo singles (whatever that means), Twice have had 32 with 8 promo singles.

    Blackpink has been more consistent but it is also true they released less songs. Twice had an insane 2-3 years streak.


    In my opinion they are about equal but BP's next couple comebacks will be decisive. If they score another massive hit then it's 100% them. It would mean they haven't missed the mark since debut for almost 6 years.

    That's irrelevant. the question is about who has the biggest hits, not which group songs do better on average

    Twice. They had like 10 hits in a row some of which got pretty big. Cheer up alone was bigger in Korea than any BP song.


    However since 2020 Twice have flopped hard and BP have the biggers hits since. But the question is can they maintain that success? They don't release much songs so I don't think they can match Twice level of hits.

    bp are no doubt bigger, even in korean (in recent years), but the most actual national KOREAN hits??

    Cheer up, ooh ahh, TT, What is love, DTNA, Likey, yes or yes, knock knock,.. these weren't just big hit

    young or old everyone knew/knows these songs.

    The group that actually had 9 back to back number 1s.
