it's an open industry secret that SMA is basically the SM awards lol otherwise how did BoA get album of the year in 2016 (didn't chart digitally, sold like 10k copies), they made up a daesang for taeyeon in 2020 and ofc this year's controversial win as well. an SM idol also always hosts the awards.

KMA doesn't care about money and can't be bought tho so if aespa wins there it's fair and square.
