    A set up. Alcohol free was bigger than queendom.

    I was so surprised how twice and itzy tanked last year. I can confidently say now the rank changes to blackpink>red velvet>twice. bye twice, you girls ain’t the nation girl group like your fans always brag about

    I honestly keep thinking Psycho was their last comeback that's how forgettable Queendom was. Like nobody is talking about it at all wtf. Alcohol free was polarising but at people remember it.

    I wouldn't be so sure about it although both are having troubles


    Queendom peaked high because of hype of hiatus + people were curious to see the effect of Irene scandal, AF had a relatively high peak of UL but compared to the songs in its time it was not a hit hit.


    TWICE had more comebacks that show their decline in charting but RV still hasn't so I would wait for this claim


    But still for now TWICE>RV

    They have been doing better for a couple years now. 2019 with zimlabim and Umpah Umpah charted decently compared to Twices releases in the same time period and of course Psycho has done better than anything Twice has released since 2018.

    If we're comparing like for like then queendom should be against Twice latest aka scientist. Scientist not only flopped hard but no one remembers it all.

    What a way to downplay rv.Their song only peak because of the hiatus & scandal.

    This is such an odd comparison. Red Velvet have released only 1 song the past 2 years, their second-to-last song Psycho was released end of 2019.

    To compare with recent songs of other girl groups, where were their songs after 10 weeks:


    Blackpink - Lovesick Girls #9

    Brave Girls - Chi Mat Ba Ram #21

    Oh My Girl - Dun Dun Dance #10

    Aespa - Savage #12

    Mamamoo - Dingga #31



    Compared with those other girl groups, TWICE title songs haven't been doing that great lately on Gaon charts, and their latest song Scientist even did abysmal.

    Red Velvet's latest song also did merely average, but the one before that, Psycho did best of them all.


    Also interesting to see that Mamamoo only did ok with their title song, and Aespa and Oh My Girl are doing almost as good as Blackpink after 10 weeks, Aespa even with a song like Savage.

    Based on the past 2 years digital charting in Korea, I think this would be the ranking:


    Blackpink > Aespa > Oh My Girl > Brave Girls > Red Velvet > ITZY > TWICE > Mamamoo

    in 2021 only. but not in their whole career. :-P
