I just saw the thumbnail of an upcomming JPop-MV in my recomendations.
I saw the background and it is the same half-open storage hall you see in tons of other MV (example BXW - Uchiage, BLACK IRIS - Head Shot,... ). This hall is used since more than 10, almost 20 years in a crap ton of MV
This thing is so over-used. I wish JPop would carry on and not film so much in the same places
If I would look around the MVs made in Japan I could possibly count over 30 MVs just by the artists I listen to who filmed there .... it's over-used AF
Some more over-used places in JPop MV:
- Shibuya Crossing
- That one Storage-building (example seen in FTisland - Shadows, BULLET TRAIN - My Buddy,...)
- This one lake with the large stone-wall (example seen in Rude-a - LIFE, BURNOUT SYNDROMES - Good Morming World!,...)
- That one small white bungalow with a pool in front that you see in a lot MVs (example seen in Da-iCE - Into You, Boom Trigger - Shacking,...)
- That one bungalow with the brown furniture and brown wallpaper (example seen in ENJIN - Peace Summer, IVVY - Wink,...) You barly notice that it is the same house BTW since they tent to re-decorate it a lot but especially in photos for the MVs you notice that it is the same building
- There is a building where people can go to do some freetime-activities as like gokart, playing billiard, playing basketball,... it also used a lot (example seen in BXW - Candy, ADDICTION - Party In The Sky,...)
- That outdoor-area of a public swimmingpool where people tend to shoot dance videos on a kind of platform (example seen in BANQUET - Priceless Summer, Buono! - Take it Easy,...)
There are probably some more
