Hey, AKP ARMY, it's me again!! Here to annoy highlight BTS' fandom growth and what we should expect for 2022.
As a prelude to this thread;
I saw this tweet and it's very evident that versions matter in BTS' ecosystem. To date, MOTS:7 is still their best-selling album. And that was because we got a normal-priced, four version album. Also on top of that, that was before Dynamite and Butter. So I think 6M> is possible if BigHit plays their cards right.
@Ibby ARMY taglist, please?
I just am in awe that this has been going on for FOUR YEARS and BTS' fandom is still growing. #peaklikeBTS But on a serious note, it has been an amazing 2021, where Butter did the damn thing (and Dynamite because she hates to lose) and introduced so many non-kpop fans (the best type) to BTS!
Starting from [Note: BTS released only four songs in total and no album in 2021]:
Spotify
YouTube
One thing to note is that BTS even with less musical input this year have gain so many new fans/sales from the top three music markets for Korean acts
Regions:
(*Japan has seen the MOST GROWTH EVER for BTS and I'm not exaggerating when I say that*)
(*US of course we still killing it as usual*)
(*South Korea still holding it down*)
And overall
So what I'm trying to say is, bottom line, BTS' next comeback will be explosive if the cards are stacked in BTS/ARMY favor.
PS. Let us all channel BWL energy and have a fun 2022!
