Okay they aren't kids. They are grown ass adults. They are also shareholders of the company and as such are expected to help the company grow and make money. Adult life sucks, but it's life. You're not always going to be able to just have fun. Once BTS die down the company needs other sources of revenue. It's important for them to diversify their income. And it will also positively affect the members in the long run. As shareholders they make money when the company makes money. I honestly doubt hybe had to beg them for a year. You think they didn't create clauses to make sure they had full control of their career when they resigned. The article that stated that had no proof or sources whatsoever other than "dude, trust me". Hybe isn't perfect (especially with promoting bts properly) but bts themselves aren't pushovers. I think it's time for fans to realize bts have more freedom and control over their work than they think. Plus, all this is mainly to pad income that was expected from their tour. Once touring is allowed bts will be too busy to do anything else anyway.
You can wish and pray for them to leave all you want but the only decision that matters is bts'. Fans have absolutely no say in whether bts resign or not so save yourselves the trouble and stop thinking you're their career managers.
You can continue criticising their company as much as you want no issue but please remember your place.
All top notch companies especially those in the US treat their artists worse than bighit ever treated bts. That's something I'd never wish on my faves.
Have you noticed how all the top stars have complained about the terms of their contracts and how unfair they are. Huge stars like Taylor swift and Kanye west are crying on social media about their shitty contracts. So many artists have been screwed over and barred from releasing music just because their albums sold a little less than what is projected. Their producers and label bosses are well known for stealing song credits from them. They are overworked and not paid for years just like in those hell hole nugu kpop companies.
Bighit is trash but there's a reason we celebrate every time we find out bts isn't signed to any western label unless it's a distribution deal.
I personally don't care what HYBE does and at this point it is beginning to annoy me that people do so much. My focus is on BTS. I'm consuming only their music because to me they are musicians. You guys want the company to take a back seat when it comes to your idols but then turn around and argue about everything the company does placing your idols second in the discussion each time. Even weaponizing your idols to talk about the company. This obsession with the company is getting seriously ridiculous.
You praise the fact that they are involved in their creative decisions but when you hate their creative decisions you blame the company.
I only care about what the members say and do. Because the members are way more important to me than the fact that their company is producing too much merch that I choose not to buy anyway.
I don't think they'll get the option! They'll be in that group for as long as it suits Korea. THIS is their military service.
There was something sketchy about their renewals. Especially that time most of them cried on stage about it, Tae practically breaking his heart. Of course some Army's bought that "they love us so much they are distressed just at the mere thought of being apart from us" bull, but coming back to the real world grown men don't act like that, especially over something that never happened. Something about renewing their contracts that time upset them. My guess is that the company were smart enough to have things to hold over their heads and take their bargaining power away.
But still, they get to stay in the world's biggest group and make more multi millions while having protection from most forms of bad press because HYBE is tight with the current president, for as long as they have this much value they are more than fine.

yall are fucking weirdos that convince yourselves that grown men can't look after themselves and have their own legal team analyze the hell out of their new contracts to make sure the terms are excellent.
No company will ever be perfect among what is available now, BH/hybe is as good as it gets especially since the members are shareholders.
Who told yall that starting their own company is the *best* choice? Then instead of focusing on the music, they'll have to manage even management deals, and all the other laborous jobs that a label does on behalf of the idols.

Anyone who thinks BTS has 100% control over what they do is delusional, the reason they have staff and people working for them because they do not have the time to deal with everything career wise, they're not doing countless research to understand what's better for their career or reaching out for CF, they focus on practicing and music. Even tho I think HYBE is doing a not so good job I don't see any of them better in other company so I hardly think they'll renew as a group anywhere else.. Solo maybe if they pursue an acting career or any other field HYBE isn't established yet
