Why do people assume you hate Jisoo if you disagree with Snowdrop?

I'm a Blink but the minute I say I won't be supporting Snowdrop I know I'll get massacred. But this is not even about Jisoo. Yes there are some hating on the show because of her, but as a stan, you don't have do agree with everything an idol does. I'm educated to the point where I can form my own opinion and I've quietly decided to just not watch or support. Not watching this K-drama doesn't make me a Jisoo hater or a fake fan but there are many people out there who are convinced of that. It's interesting. The misdirected anger towards her and the vile things being said to her are just not right. But not supporting the drama and being a fan of her are not mutually exclusive things. I'm not a fake fan just because I won't support the drama. It's impossible to love and support every single idol's endeavors, none of us would be able to keep up.

Perhaps I'm wrong but I'd love to hear anon's take.

Otherwise I don't see how even at a basic level the can't see what's actually problematic about the drama while their go to argument is to just say you're jealous of Jisoo.

in general it's a kpop fandom issue, but having an more organised fandom would help blinks a lot

sometimes the smartest thing is shutting up and listen to people in your fandom who know what they are talking about, but because blinks haven't had any real troubles like this before, they have no idea how to handle it

Jisoo is my bias and I'm not watching her drama either not only because of the snowdrop's political issue but I'm here for blackpink's Jisoo than the actress.

People should not assume that, it's perfectly fine pointing out snowdrop is controversial. But you can't blame jisoo fans when there are CLEARLY many using this issue as a chance to hate and blame it on her and bp as whole. They don't actually care about the controversy itself.

Glad to see this. I went to twitter after jtbc announced they would continue airing the drama and the comments there from blinks truly floored me. I just silently exited the app and haven't visited blink twitter since. People want to be willingly hateful and delusional just because jisoo is involved. Please let's stay out of Korean people's political business before we make things worse.

On Twitter fans have literally called her right wing queen. Regardless of they're being serious or sarcastic it's a really awful take given the circumstances of what went on in Korea at the time.

Please enlighten me and post here said hit tweets (or at least over 100 likes) of blinks calling her right wing queen. All I find is non fans tweets with 10 likes at best and they are very few, blinks were mostly asking others to report those comments

Because many, many kpop fans have a very childish, immature outlook on life and fandom and lack all sense of nuance. Things are black or white. You LOVE your faves and EVERYTHING they do unconditionally, and if you don't, you HATE them. Theres no middle ground in the poorly developed mind.

FWIW, I'm doing the same as you OP. Sitting Snowdrop out. I love Jisoo and I am a Blink. I think the best way forward for Jisoo involves this show just quietly going away, which means i-fans need to just leave it alone as well.
