I mean BTS was literally leading in all categories based on criteria, but then they do this every year. I am guessing this year its more difficult for them to accept cause this was a rare year with no album release and just 4 songs from Bangtan, so they thought their faves had a chance. Sigh.
Anyway, we all know what is happening next year. Same cycle.

Only SOTY had a competition, tbh. But the think pieces i saw on twitter are from stans whose faves didn't had a chance against BTS. I'm like - okay, keep crying. Lol
No 2020 album + no korean release must have hurt them bigtime
