    because each time he has hype in korea, he releases music (which btw is all self composed)


    and he doesnt release single albums. all his solo music that isnt on his full albums, are in winner albums, mobb albums, smtm, or collaborations.


    xx was released alongside s5 and s6 of njttw (had upto 7% viewership in korea on a pay to watch chanel) and take was released with s8 of njttw (upto 7% viewership again), and since na pd adores mino, he always gets some promo in njttw. this time, to infinity is being released after smtm 10 where two songs he sang/produced hit #1 (maybe more im not tracking it)


    mino has been active in his group since 2013... he cant even released group music because the winner members have enlisted-


    the amount of music he releases isnt even that much- winner does get the best treatment in yg, but winner is a senior group that writes all of their own music, and yg is a company that gives its other groups well below the bare minimum.

    The only thing YG does is give you some funding for mv etc and just post your teasers through their official account, there isn’t much hype build up as well.


    Also Winner members are enlisting to the military, so there is more space for solo work.
