Jungkook listened to Sana and felt that he understood all that she had told him. He knew that when she thought aloud in this way she would sometimes ask him what she had been saying, and be vexed if she noticed that he had been thinking about something else. But he had to force himself to attend. He looked at her and did not think but felt about something different.
'Do you still think of Nayeon?" she asked him.
'I only think of her when I'm saddened by our parting," he answered.
Sana felt a submissive tender love for this man who would never understand all that she understood, and this seemed to make her love for him still stronger and added a touch of passionate tenderness. Besides this feeling which absorbed her altogether and hindered her from seeking forgiveness from Nayeon, thoughts that had no connection with the situation at hand flitted through her mind. She did not compare herself with Nayeon, but compared her feeling for him with Nayeon's feeling for him, and felt with regret that there was something lacking in her for him.
