I think blackpink or nct will be nominated as best new artist in grammys

    And Shouldn't Aespa her nominated instead of BP and Nct since they're a newer group and was top 100 on bb200 on their debut? That's monumental!

    they both debuted in 2016 tho how is that considered new?

    First Grammy removed the tile about the 3 albums after they nominated an old act last year for bna. So that rule is now void.


    There’s no way nct is touching a nomination, no offense. And for BP, Lisa had the potential to submit for bna even though I think it’s a long shot. Bna is competitive this year and I don’t see BP happening

    Yup there's a criteria similar to this one I'm not it sure but if they don't release full album next year I'm sure they'll be submitted again by their company.

    NCT already has more than 3 albums. They aren't even eligible for the nomination in the first place.

    Like do ya'll really think you will get one, never mind even deserves one? This is primarily a music show for the USA market, what is any Kpop not called Bangtan doing in the US? Charting for a week or 2 and out?

    Ikr its kinda weird... And how come bts wasn't eligible but other groups are? Despite having multiple albums? Ik blackpink is eligible because of lack of songs but what about others?

    To qualify as a New Artist for the Grammys, an artist must have a minimum of five singles/tracks OR a complete album to be eligible for Best New Artist. An artist hoping to be considered can also have a maximum of 30 singles/tracks OR three complete albums, previously released. And they must make either an artistic or (pop) cultural impact.

    but the phrase, "Must make an artistic or pop cultural impact for a long time " does not apply to BP. What impact have they made in the USA? None that I know of. Maybe Blinks can clarify.
