The gg competition is VERY far from settled

    MYs made it look like both Twice and Itzy were over these last few weeks, but that's hardly the case.


    The Feels made it obvious that there is a solid gap between Twice and other kpop girl groups internationally. Now FOL is at 700k pre-orders and will end up selling 700-800k overall, meaning Twice is still peaking sales-wise


    ITZY are also still #3 internationally. CIL is at around 490k on Gaon and Guess Who sold 330K, so ITZY have sold over 800k albums in the last six months alone. Not bad for a group supposedly flopping everywhere.


    HYBENGG selling extremely well is guaranteed at this point with Enhyphen already at million seller status despite debuting a year ago. All groups debuting post-pandemic will immediately see super inflated sales.


    IVE and JYPngg have the potential to chart well in SK. Even if the hype is low atm, JYP ggs never flop in their debut year. IVE has interest from Koreans, and Wonyoung is definitely going to become a significant it-girl.


    YGNGG is the dark horse, but looking at the international stats of BP, 2NE1, CL, Somi, and even Lee Hi, they are going to do well globally from the very start. If anyone is going to become a threat to BP's international dominance, it will be their own junior group (or HYBE's gg, depending on how they play things. But with the army support and HYBE's US connections...yeah, I can see it happening)


    We're also just going to ignore the existence of BP here since it's pretty much a forgone conclusion that they'll chart and sell better than everyone else IF they ever have a comeback

    well it just prove that Aespa is above them then

    Itzy still sold less than 500K for one album, even after 2 years building a fanbase

    meanwhile aespa did it with their first mini album in less than a year

    Aespa is a one year GG already competing with the sales that Twice and Itzy have after years building a fanbase

    and they have much better digital than Twice and Itzy this year with their release


    and nobody talked about the GG who will debut

    Aespa is at the top at the moment of this generation but that doesn't mean that a GG who will debut after them can't do better

    Twice are the clear number 2 after bp that's for sure. Aespa stans are trying really hard to erase everything other than recent korean charting

    Then you remember aespa is not a year old and cry because they're just getting started.

    BP still at the top. Twice sales r interesting. Itzy isn't at all impressive as aespa outsold them with their debut mini. It embarrassing. Also what numbers are they pulling in USA?

    All groups obviously experienced a boost in sales post-pandemic. Aespa aren't selling more than Itzy because they debuted later - they are selling more because they have better selling power. But Aespa's numbers for their first album are higher than other pre-pandemic ggs numbers for their first album because they debuted during this era of crazy high physical sales. You really think Aespa would have sold 500k if they debuted back in 2015 like Twice? Or Enhyphen would have sold 1M in less than a year if they debuted at the same time as NCT? Please lol. Other new groups be the same - like I said, HYBE's new gg will do 500k easy for their debut too (and it seems like this will be proven sooner rather than later)

    Aespa sold 500k because of next level. Hybe girl group will be funded by army 500k will be very easy to achieve. I expect even more for their debut album
