Is a person a fan if they don't spend a dime on their bias?

Of course they are, one does not have to spend heaps of money on merch to be considered a fan. I haven't bought a thing and I've been a loyal fan for ten years. Besides, a little bit old to be buying it anyway.

I don't consider myself a stan for that exact same reason. I love Kpop but I don't want to waste my money to buy stuff I don't need like albums or merch.
