They did a study where the most vaccine hesitant group are PhDs. Luckily there's not many PhDs around, the majority of the unvaccinated come from Trump supporters. But this is just another example that show too much edjumecation actually has the opposite effect. Why? Education is a business, and human knowledge is limited. To keep the grift going they need to come up with a lot of BS to fill overpriced textbook and courses with inaccurate, contradictory, pointless or made up content. This is why doctors are the third leading cause of death in America. Imagine studying health for 30 years of your life and still can't prevent your career from killing a lot of people. And the unvaccinated are to blame why corona will never end because as long as there's unvaccinated people there will be new more powerful variants mutating and people will just have to live taking vaccines every year with limited social restrictions. Not to mention natural immunity to corona is as impossible as immunity to aids. So even if you recover you can get corona again from someone unvaccinated.

There's nothing like too much education. It's all about being aware of what you know, and being aware of what you don't know. It's very possible that some people with a high level of education fall victim to internet BS, conspiracy theories and such.
In the case of vaccines, having a PhD doesn't automatically make you more knowledgeable about everything medical. But it can give you a false sense of confidence about your ability to understand it even though you're no expert of. It's all about critical thinking at the end of the day.

the movers and shakers of the world usually dropped out of college. People who stay almost a decade stuck in college will have much less real world experience compared to those making things happen outside ‘academia’

It's a rather controversial topic, it can be discussed for a long time
