YouTube ads are Kpop’s newest pandemic

Spotify is a better measurement. 2020 rookies like Treasure, Aespa, EN- had over 1.5mil to over 2mil unique listeners so their MVs probably had around over 2mil to 4mil unique watchers. No one said they had 30mil people watching.

I don't think EN- or Treasure used ads for debut but whatever, it's exposure even if they did.

All youtube ads for treasure are funded through fan donations which only amount to around 40k views. In general, YG doesn't do ads for any of their groups.

the demographic for Spotify users and Youtube may not be the same

Youtube has more market share in certain areas where Kpop is more popular, aka SEA.

There might be overlapped of users but to say one platform is a more accurate representation is a little far-fetch.

Have you seen ads for Treasure? I haven't seen them yet. Fans voted their asses off for those ads.
