who here has had covid-19?

  • March/April this year - I had a congested nose and so did the person # 1 who was living with me - except I complained about it and they weren't bothered by it. Went to get tested, started off with a false negative but the pcr a few days later was positive. Then I realized my sense of smell and taste were slowly fading away. Person #1 was fine within a day but for me fatigue, high fever, headache, and a bunch of other stuff followed for weeks on end. I took vitamins, tried to exercise and eat. Didn't help me much if I'm being honest. Ended up losing 20 pounds in the first week.

After all of that, I kind of became obsessed with good smells lol.

Wish you the best in your recovery.

  • I got it in June, symptoms were not really symptoms: had barely 98.6 F (not really high body temperature), but is was strange to have it in cycles: fine in the morning, up during the day, afternoon fine, evening up again, also had sore throat and bit of a headache. Went to the hospital just to be safe and my test was positive. I was working from home, so didn't contact with anybody, except parents who were also working from home. They were tested negative though. I spent two weeks in my room. Sneaking into the kitchen and bathroom when no one was there. Got contacted by doctor by phone often who was asking about my condition. Smell wise it was fine. I had really bad smelling soap at home, and mom was always telling me to take it away from the soap place on the shelf. I brought it to my room and was sniffing it a few times a day just to be sure about the smell, but it smelled awful as usual. After two weeks nurse came to my home and got swab, and I was tested negative.

Important thing to mention I was vaccinated before I had covid. That's probably the reason for having it without heavy symptoms

  • I’m lucky not to have had it considering the dogs breakfast we’re in at the moment. I’m also having the Pfizer vaccine in a couple of weeks that will give me some protection. I live in a rural area and don’t have as many people as the city, plus am always COVID safe and wear a mask.
