How do you feel about critical race theory?

All I will say is that I have mixed feelings about this. First of all I’m not American and this is mostly an American issue. Secondly I think it has it pros and cons.
Pros, it’s necessary to teach about structural and racial disparities and how it was engendered in American laws and policies.
Cons, it could lead to further divisions between the races. There has been a lot of progress from the 60s till now. And I think there should be more focus on progress than on what happened in the past. You can’t change the past, but you can form the future!

learning about the past will help prevent more racism in the future, yes we have learned and grown but its not enough to say (i'm not saying your saying this) ¨everyone's equal¨ i feel like we (black people) should have the ability to learned about black history in america as much as all the other races do but what we have seen so far is yt washed history and the same 5 (rosa park,MLK,harriet tubman ect) people since pre-k.
