Baek Yerin was originally in JYP? When did she leave?
Yes she was in a duo group with Park Jimin called 15& and they had a lot of potential but JYP didn't use it and she left in 2019 I think

I thought kpop stans said award shows need to be based on quality not views, sales, and voting? Why aren’t their faves anywhere to be seen?
Each category has like 5-6 nominees, you can’t nominate everyone and KMA barely even nominates Idol Groups.
I think the nominees seem fair, just because many didn’t made it doesn’t mean they were bad in quality. KMA literally nominates whoever they want, it’s never the best charting Song or very known Act. The nominees look different each year, since this just is mostly on judges, it’s also based more on personal preference it can change every time.
