Have you read Murakami?

  • So I have been getting into Murakami these days starting with Norwegian Wood. Now I recognize it's his more grounded/realistic book as compared to his usual style it still felt like the conventional place to start because that's the book which catapulted him to fame, the book because of which he had run out of the country because media wouldn't stop hounding him.

So I wanted to ask has anyone read his any other book?

  • I said "go big or go home" and started with Kafka on the Shore lol. I really love his style of narrating and the surrealistic details, but the sexual scenes kinda disturbed me lol.

I also read "After Dark", a bit short but a really enjoyable read, I think it is my favourite. I recently bought Norwegian Wood, can't wait to read it.

  • IDK the Original title or the English title but I have read a book called "Wenn der Wind weht Pinball 1973" (It's 2 different storiesbut they conect to eachother) from him and liked it. I than got a big one (it was sooo pretty cause the outside of the pages was letting the book look like if the pages would be in dark blue, I sadly forgot the name of it now lol) but I wasn't that big of a fan of the bigger book so I gave it to my grandma who likes to read but the one I read before was pretty good. If I come back to one of his shorter stories I might read it but the bigger books of him are maybe not my type to read.
