How to sound amazing live 101 with no backtrack

  • Step 1: Be Day6

Step 2: There is no step 2

Yes I chose these 2 because there 2 are one of the few rare performances that music shows set up their instruments for them to play them live as well. Normally music shows don't do this because they don't actually have proper sound technicians to properly cater to a band to help them set up, but in this case I think JYPE actually have their own sound technicians to help Day6 set up the stage so that they can play live. At least there is 1 thing good about JYPE is that they have the resources to do it, while other companies don't

Music shows need to do better. No wonder bands don't perform on music shows

Changed the title of the thread from “How to sound amazing live 101” to “How to sound amazing live 101 with no backtrack”.
  • I L-UV the two-part harmonies in "Where The Sea Sleeps". For me, it was one factor in noticing and appreciating what Day6 had to offer. "Sweet Chaos" isn't one of my favorite D6 songs, yet the chord progression in the chorus is still satisfying to hear in a live performance. That's cool.

Day6 is a legit band that functions above the K-Pop status quo, yet they are delimited like they are below average. That is what's so disappointing to me about JYPE. They have a strong track record of knowing how to put together good guy and girl groups. Having decent sound techs is a plus too. It just seems like they don't know how to sustain and let all their stars thrive and shine.

  • Something I think that is dope and so friken ahead of the game! Day6's Busking performances popped up in my YT vids. If you can perform stripped down like this, you're the real deal:
