I didn't expect them to die like that. I thought there was a slight possibility they'd get eaten by the cannibals that were 'praying' to that big statue on the other side of the island but I never thought that they would end up eating 'sleeping' berries and dying that way. You would think they would end up getting eaten or something but in the end it was something they ate that made them meet their end they would have been saved if they waited for a bit though I am not sure wdhether it was or not too late for the child

In the end the sailor who came close to the boat to save them looked at the unconscious 3 and said they are sleeping .. you reckon that means they are dead?

Well, call it a naughty script, they want you to make up your own version of ending by leaving some clues.

There isn't a lot of dialogue but a lot is going on. Makes you think. Plus the existence of cannibals on the same island made it rather thrilling

Island itself was very very beautiful too, shots they did of animals on the island and underwater looks magical

How do you feel about the movie? I assume it has been some time since you watched but do you remember how you liked it

I think the movie combined elements and symbols from literature( modern Robinson Crusoe) , Bible( garden of Eden as the island , first 2 humans, forbidden fruits ) and reality ( beautiful island/ scenes on earth) that made it a fusion and visually poetic. Cannibals demonstrated the danger the first 2 humans encountered, have to overcome to survive that added tension through a little work around of Eden where danger does not exist. Movie was portrayed to make audiences feel surreal and fairy, seemingly led to some dramas and metaphors they have read and learned.

A good piece of romantically epic work for me~
