It was GD who formed a close relationship with Chanel over several years
And it was GD who introduced the Celine label to K-Pop. My twitter timeline is currently a pile of burning tyres over whether Lisa or Taehyung were the first to own a piece of Celine clothing (are you guys just running out of fights to have?!) The answer is GD did first, followed by Mino. (And then as far as I can tell, Lisa, who was carrying a Celine bag in 2016.)
(While I'm at it, you can probably also thank him for male idols getting to wear womenswear and being called trendy and woke, because he took all the "what a little weirdo" flak back in the day.)
