Yes it is, when your posts are removed the akorns are removed from your total as well. So say someone made a huge and controversial thread, they responded a lot on it and then staff has to delete it, they subtract all of the akorns from them. So if they spent some of the akorns already they would then be negative. As will your posts amount if you have too many posts removed

I have lost a couple akorns when they delete massive threads and trash things. Not a biggie for me though

Yea usually most of us do not contribute to toxic threads so we do not see many vanish
