As the world is asleep, it's just you and some delicious food in front of you. That is why I sincerely believe late night is the best time to eat.
In this thread, we share what we're eating in the pitch-black darkness of night like the nocturnal creatures we are!
Tonight I feasted on this bowl of Nongshim tonkotsu ramen for the first time.
Packaging looked great and appetizing.
As a ramen enthusiast, this was a delight for me.
As shown in the photo below, there are two methods to prepare this.
I opted for the first one, which is the microwave route.
Inside the bowl were two flavor packets, a soup base and an optional spicy sauce.
I decided not to add the spicy sauce because I wished to enjoy this broth in its purest form, without any spiciness to detract from it.
After adding water to the bowl and microwaving it for 4 minutes, I added the soup base to my hot bowl of ramen.
The final product consisted of juicy noodles and the familiar, creamy tonkotsu broth that I've come to know and love over time at Japanese ramen spots.
Overall, I give this 7 out of 10.
It was enjoyable and it served its purpose, but the portions were rather disappointing, as I felt I needed something else to satisfy my cravings. The noodles themselves didn't quite impress me as much, but that's expected for a bowl of instant ramen. The highlight of this ramen bowl for me was the broth.
