He originaly was scoutet in highschool for Japan's basketball national team but than he oneday decided that he would like to become an idol instead of an athlete (the guy who scoutet him wasn't too happy about it since it was said Hokuto was one of the best players his age back in high school. Hokuto also has a few trophys from his school's team where he was awarded as best player during a championship). It was said that Hokuto decided to become an idol after he listend to EXILE TRIBE's group EXILE and really liked them and cause he loved to sing their songs a lot he oneday realised he actually don't wanted to become a athelete.
