In the past Tigray people had a lot to say in government, and they still have now, the problem is other groups like Oromo and Amhara, are much bigger ones in terms of population and land.
according to wiki Ethiopia is 12 nation in the world by population, and 27th by land.
People most times forget how big are countries in Africa, but once again... borders there and the fact that those ethnic groups and tribes are in "one" country is messed up idea itself.

People in Ethiopia live terribly. I watched some traveler who was there. It is so sad, I can cry every time I see it or just photos...
