Did IVE’s XOXZ underperform?

I think it had a similar performance to Attitude, and the song is still charting in the top 25. I would say it met expectations.

Stable, but not much hype. Pretty weak comeback, I will say.

Still. Saleswise, it did pretty good.

im ngl I was thinking the other day "its been a while since Rebel Heart and Attitude, when the hell is IVE coming back". I legit forgot about this song, so it wasnt exactly impactful for me lol.

It still did pretty well I think but I do feel like it was definitely a weak comeback from them.

I think it's their first release without their main producer Ryan Jhun. So, I wonder how this will impact future releases for the group. I guess it will be interesting to see how their next release performs

Oh thats interesting to know, hopefully this isnt a trend. Even if I dont love thw TT, I typically vibe with a song or 2 from their albums but I have none on my playlist from this latest. Im questioning if I ever evsn actually listened to it but Im pretty sure I did lol

Comeback just fell flat for me overall

Apparently Rich Man is a hit so XOXZ that is outcharting Rich Man on Melon despite being released earlier is a bigger hit

I AM and Kitsch were huge but Baddie didn't feel as huge

Rebel Heart and Attitude were huge but XOXZ didn't feel as huge

But regardless they are doing fairly stable on the charts

Someone told me that XOXZ is flopping and that Rich Man is outcharting IVE few weeks back so it has to be something....maybe

as I've said it numerous times - there are many definitions of the word "flop" - for example SK charting wise

1. to not chart at all - fairly obvious that if one fails to enter the charts at all then it's a flop

2. to not chart as well as previous songs - this is fairly understandable that if a group had a PAK for one song but the next song only made it (let's say to the top 20) then one might argue that since the song didn't do as well as previously then it's a flop

3. to not chart as well compared to their peers - the question who one's peers are is important since charting is by it's very definition about who one is higher or lower than...some people will say if x charted worse than y then x is a flop

4. to not chart as well as expectations (this is the most subjective) - here a group flops because there is an expectation that certain groups will perform well whether based on prior success or company reputation...this generally applies to the larger or more popular groups - ie. if IU failed to chart (maybe) in the top 5 then one might argue that because of IU's prior successes then her level of expectations is much higher than a lesser known artist or group...
