I see it’s been a while since this was posted, but I just wanted to ask—does anyone else check the bed frame and mattress the moment they walk into a hotel room? I started doing that after a couple of rough stays, and now it’s almost a habit. Curious if anyone’s found a foolproof trick for telling if a room’s been well taken care of before even unpacking.
I had the same issue during a trip last year, but the bed at the orchard road hotel I stayed at was actually super comfy. I think it depends a lot on how well the hotel maintains their stuff and how often they change out the mattresses. Some places just don’t care, especially if there's a lot of guest turnover.
