SM'S BLIND ABOUT TAEYEON AND WENDY'S ABSENCE IN SM CONCERT

    "SM concert Taeyeon and Wendy

Why are they suddenly not appearing?ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ"

"+12: Throwing that out on Bubble is a power move in itself. Do you really think they would include someone in the lineup poster without consulting the person involved? The way they act like they're being worshipped is infuriating, and flipping their attitude like that is just so unpleasant to watch. If they have so many complaints, please, just leaveㅜㅜ

    > +6: Sigh... Same feelings here.
It's beyond disappointed and I'm actually getting angry>:(
While everyone else is breaking their backs preparing for the final stretch before the performance, do they think just posting one Bubble message is enough?
Seeing those chaotic articles, there's so much I could say, but, hmm... If you're a sunbae, act like a sunbae. If you're experienced, think a bit more before speaking."

    image (2).png

    "+2: ㅎㅎㅎ I wonder why?

    > Ahh... ah.....

    > I hope that it's not an issue with their contracts.. SM, don't be like thisㅠㅠ

+16: I can't say anything long but I've been working on the SM Concert since last summer

    > +3: That's right, we all know very well that the company is the easy target for blame, so don't be too upset..."

    image (3).png

"+12: The entertainment company always ends up taking the blame...

+12: Rushing to share only their own perspective on Bubble when they're upset isn't a good look

+10: It's not "suddenly"... don't trust what celebrities say

+ 4: I have a lot to say but we'll refrain from saying it

    - Sigh......"

"I was really eager to perform on stage and wanted to prepare for two or three songs with lots of enthusiasm. I told the company about it and was waiting... but to sum it up, they didn't prepare anything, so I couldn't perform at all.

It's absolutely not because I lack motivation or don't want to do it.. I'm just very passionate about the stage and want to give it my all, but they haven't been very supportive, which has made me seriously think about what's going on. I'm sharing this with you, SONE, because I don't want there to be any misunderstandings about me"

    image (5).png

"Hello, you may have seen the notice by now, or maybe you haven't yet... The discussion with the company happened over a month ago, but the notice just went up today..."

    original post: here

    1. Are they selectively trusting who they want? ㅋㅋ They said that they were not trusting the company and now are trusting them again

    2. All of the fans who have been fans of SM artists know how sh*tty SM's management isㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ They’re trying to pin the blame on the artist so I don't believe them

    3. Taeyeon is sharing everything she wants on Bubble so of course the employees can share their disappointment too

    4. I feel f*cking bad for the employees

    5. What's with the comment saying that people are blaming the company?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ From the employees' perspective, the company is the one getting hate so why should they care?ㅋ

    6. But it's not the first or second time that SM had been trash when it comes to their management?

    7. Taeyeon wasn't talking to any of those employees leaving comments so why are they so triggered?ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

    8. Why did they make Kwangya 119? The company's employees are the antis themselves

    9. The issue isn't that they are not attending. Isn't it because they have not been properly communicated?

    10. As someone who works in an office, I really relate to the posts on Blind. The way celebrities backtrack on their words is on another level compared to what ordinary people would expect. Just look at how SM fans defend them here, it's probably because there are so many shinyeos

  • No way they are renewing after this,sm is actively trying to ruin their reputation but its sm so there is no sane person that believes them except company stans

  • I don't see how it's a power play when 2 idols from 2 different groups say they had issues with SM weeks ago which weren't resolved hence them not attending. Taeyeon mentioning lack of prep is so on trend for SM for years as seen with QC issues on her merch, small concert venues resulting in fans demanding more dates and zero promo for her latest album.

17 years later SM still can't do basic things like spell "Girls' Generation" correctly on official SM 30th merch

With the way SM handles things these shills might want to be careful their jobs aren't axed some day.

  • I don't buy Taeyeon's "no prep" excuse at all. It's very unlikely that she needed anything for her performance which SM was unwilling to provide her with. They're far from perfect, but this just feels like she's openly fueding with the company and refusing to show up. Watch her no-show her own tour next.

Wendy's "personal reasons" for her absence are likely related to a contract dispute. If that's the case, it's still pretty shitty to make the rest of her group go on without her.

That said, SM should not have witheld their decision to not participate. They knew for over a month before telling us in the case of Wendy.

Her last tour was filled with venues of less than 2000 seats, leading to mass outrage, and in turn SM just straight up canceled some dates. She has had issues with them and her performances for years. Not to mention, they refused to help her find a translator in time for her to do the surprise stage with Wiz Khalifa in 2014 for MAMA, which lead to her and Wiz getting frustrated and just not doing their duet at all.

This is sadly an ongoing cycle with SM with Taeyeon specifically and BoA. BoA is literally a creative director at the company and they still fell comfortable messing up and messing with her comeback schedules all the time. So if the top 2 soloists at the company cannot even trust the company to do what they are supposed to on time, it does not shock me at all every time new stuff about them messing up comes out.

Also if we really want to go back. All of their 1st and 2nd gen groups have been openly irate with SM regarding how they were treated, and state so publicly after leaving.

Not saying it is not possible that it is a false reason but considering SM's track record especially with Taeyeon's schedules and her fight for creative control, it is unlikely.

  • I won't claim to know why Taeyeon no-showed her collab with Wiz Khalifa, but Wiz Khalifa evidently doesn't know either. He put her on blast for missing that performance, so it obviously wasn't a mutually agreed upon outcome. I will say this is the first I'm hearing anything involving a translator.

We've seen numerous examples of mismanagement from SM, but they aren't going to want to look like complete amateurs at their big 30th anniversary show, which is why I find it so hard to believe there was such a severe degree of miscommunication that it's entirely SM's fault she now refuses to perform. Clearly they had every intention for her to do so, so you have to imagine they would have made the necessary arrangements, whatever that includes.

She also has a long history of complaining about things that other SM artists simply don't. SM almost certainly doesn't treat its artists as well as they should, like any other Kpop company, but at a certain point it stops looking like you're fighting for better treatment and instead making an appeal for special treatment.

  • Okay on this one I can 100% agree on, even as a person who loves Taeyeon a lot, sometimes there is silly stuff which was why I did not include some of the silly requests over the years.

As far as the Wiz Khalifa thing, his producer DJ Bonics who was also the composer for MAMA 2016's (I got the year wrong originally my bad) stages has done an interview on a radio show, and he mentioned they had no translator which lead to language barriers. I agree though when it comes to some of the requests for only certain things being given during promotions as far as food and things, that is kind of silly. I just pulled up the synopsis of it as it is no longer available online in audio form, and it looks like there were even more issues with audio files, SM cancelling the performance after everyone got angry and frustrated. Basically a big a-- mess. A Synopsis of part of the 1 hour DJ Bonics interview regarding that and a few other situations.

Taeyeon, when it comes to wanting special treatment, or tantrums, is not immune, I am not one of the fans who will excuse the over the top requests that happen to be made public on occasion, just because she is a beautiful singer and artist. I also am not one who was willing to excuse how upset she seemed during the GOT the Beat promotions, like she did not want to be there.

It is possible that we ended up with her slipping up and lying to fans, which would muddy the waters in SM even more if she is to be doing that. But either way this does not look good for anyone involved.

Well, they looked just like that, watching clips of their Anniversary concert.

Taeyeon gave them chance after chance. She had enough, and I can't blame her. They messed up her latest comeback as well.

If there's something we can state as a fact, it is that she didn't lie, that's for sure. She never blamed anyone btw, she actually protected the employees whom are now blaming Taeyeon and Wendy as well.

Also, I'm not a blindfolded fanboy either, but BoA and SNSD, especially Taeyeon helped to build SME, they're literally the biggest female artists at the company, so they can ask anything, and I'm pretty sure she didn't asked billions. She's not like that. I'm not a fan of any company or CEO, but LSM did a far better job, and he always treated BoA as another CEO.

This is what she said, btw:

  • I loved how the idols covered each other's songs. TVXQ sung RV's Psycho and it was so fun. And...that's it :exit-pepe:

In short, it was boring as hell and only blind people can't see that their Idols didn't want to be there either. Tbf I only watched a couple of clips on Twitter, but the concert didn't look like: "WOW, this is amazing."
