  • From watching the video and reading the article, it seems like a society ill-equipped to meet the needs of the changes in generation.


    Not sure why the government decided to change the high school curriculum, but you would think they would have discussed it in-depth with the universities to make sure that the curriculum met the needs of university admission.


    I get wanting to prepare students for a wide variety of careers, some of which may not lead to attending university, but I think it is doing a disservice to those who do want to attend university.

  • Don't know about this new system, but sound to me it's a higch school for student that don't want to go the standard high school education and maybe are a bit uncertain about what they want so they choose this new system so they can "pick" subjects that they like to get the credits they need. It's no suprise that it's also that kind of students that also choose to drop out because they maybe was uncertain from the start. And also being a new system there is little experience for them to know what to expect from it, so I would not draw to much conclusion from it the first 1-2 years.
