Fans are worried ATEEZ Yeosang is being mistreated

  • Despite the well reception of Lemon Drop, many ATINY have expressed concerns in regards to Yeosang. He has 1 actual line in the entire song - his total contribution totaling to 7 seconds. Yeosang has consistently had fewer lines compared to most of the other members, but for it to continue this far into their career is worrisome. Also, Yeosang himself has now expressed that he is feeling frustrated, but can't really elaborate on why.

This makes me sad because I love Yeosang and his voice so much... I hope he feels better soon :holding-back-tears:

  • Maybe he has an injury they aren’t saying and he really shouldn’t work out because of it. None of us know what goes on behind the scenes. I can understand his frustration with small parts in the songs.

They have also been working non stop. They might just need a rest. That’s exactly what BTS said when they thought about disbanding, the constant schedules were brutal. I know companies were trying to race to get in music before the return but they need to give their artists a break here and there to recharge and come back stronger.

    Fighting YeoSang

I really hope this is the case. The lack of lines still concerns me though because he has expressed wanting more, but he (and Wooyoung) consistently gets the least!

  • It’s always seemed this way. Yeosang getting the least, Jongho the most. Wooyoung started getting more attention too, and it felt like Yeosang did as well once he started going to the gym. Before that, he seemed to lack confidence, but once he began bulking up, you could really see a change. He looked happier, more self-assured, and it showed in his performances.

Still, over the past five years, it feels like he’s consistently given the bare minimum. We don’t know what goes on behind the scenes. Maybe the song didn’t suit his range, maybe he wasn’t feeling confident, maybe it was his own choice. He’s joked a few times about fans “banning” him from the gym because he was getting too big, which, if taken seriously, would be concerning.

I’ve always respected how KQ handles things and how they seem to prioritize ATEEZ’s well-being. I’ve never believed they would mistreat the members. But it’s possible he was having an off day, wasn’t feeling well, or something happened that we just don’t know about. Without more context, it’s hard to say.

From the outside, it’s easy to assume mistreatment, but maybe that’s not the case. Still, I can confidently say Yeosang often ends up with the least. And while I once thought it was due to a lack of confidence, I’m not sure that holds up anymore.

Edit: i don't get the problem with his hair he looks gorgeous

  • I mean, I can guess why seeing as he is part of the least-hyped member.

Uhm, I can understand the concern, but also looking at Ateez he isn't the most charming or talented member (imo) so it's bound to happen.

I just hope he knows that either way he is appreciated!

But it's not like any of his hype will improve if he's given the bare minimum each time. Also, he does add a lot to ATEEZ's songs with his deep voice and his confidence has skyrocketed after going to the gym more. After seeing him live last year, his dance is AMAZING. And he sounds amazing in songs like Halazia and Dune. So I hope more people can recognize his contributions!

That's what I dislike in kpop companies the most.. they choose whose members will have more parts, who will promote more, etc and even when a member improves a lot like he did it's almost in vain in the eyes of the company bc they won't give him more chances.

It's frustrating, we have this issue in every group so I understand him and I hope he still see how appreciated he is by fans!

I think issue is it's a business and a lot of companies will gravitate towards the idols that earn the most. I don't follow the group enough to know their situation but I enjoy their music.

I fully agree that it's unfair that companies don't allow room for growth. I am not against idols getting less lines because certain idols don't fully fit a song. I still feel there needs to be a fine balance where they provide a group with a song that allows other members to shine.

I'll pay more attention to him!
