Honestly, I do not want to trade one supremacist group for another. I have many friends who are of Chinese and other Asian ethnicities and they avoid China because they want away from the oppression. If something like this were to happen, all that would change is we would have instead of very few freedoms, close to no freedom at all. We would not be permitted to speak our minds and all progression many races have made to break the grotesque chain of abuse from white supremacists and white savior mindsets, will be thrown to the wasteside. That alone scares me. Especially considering China has condoned murdering LGBTQ community members in public as well as making family members disappear if you disagree with their dictatorship.

I dont really think that those maps show correctly the situation. Not just in this case (LGBTQ), but every other too.
Nobody saying any country is perfect but there's a HUGE difference with how some people have it in certain places where the government literally mandates gay people to get killed, like Chechnya
Saying "LGBTQIA+ society" is a stretch, that's what I pointed out in your thread title and you know that. And just because we LGBTQ people living in the West are doing slightly better than the ones living in Chechnya doesn't mean we aren't suffering and struggling to survive. Comparing situations just creates an illusion that we are living in a progressive paradise, which isn't the case for most western countries.

And no, China isn't going to replace anything, even if they tried. They are only economically powerful, but they don't have the same cultural impact in Western countries as the US or as when Greece once had. Can they overpower the US and its cultural impact? Possibly, but only through wars, I suppose.
